How did you become a part of the BeLikeTheWillow Movement?

• Leslie approached me and asked if she could include Ashlie’s Embrace as one of the recipients of the Movement’s donations. Of course we agreed! From a personal standpoint, I became involved because I wanted to teach our son that sometimes randomly doing nice things for people is the best kind of kind.

What is one thing you enjoy about partnering with Leslie?

• Just one? The Ashlie’s Embrace team always says that everything she touches is gold. Not only is she motivated by honoring her daughter, she’s got fantastic ideas and the drive to see them through. If Leslie says it’ll get done, it gets done. She makes it look easy, even though I know it’s a huge undertaking.

What is one thing you look forward to each year?

• The calendar! Will my favorites be on there? (Leaving a bigger tip than normal and donating stuffed elephants!) Will we find a new favorite activity? How will people interpret each day? It’s so fun to watch all sorts of people be united like this!
