" We wanted to take a moment to again recognize one amazing woman, Leslie Kay Burman. Leslie was our guest speaker at the 2nd Annual FriendRaiser Gala and shared her story with attendees. Afterward, she was surprised with our first-ever "Supporter of the Year" award! This award was given to Leslie because of her incredible fundraising efforts over the past several months. Leslie reached out to Ashlie's Embrace in June, after the birth of her daughter, Willow Irene, who had used one of the CuddleCots we placed at Aultman Hospital. Since that meeting in June, Leslie has started a movement that is nothing short of extraordinary! In addition to spreading good will and kindness in Willow's memory through the #belikethewillow and #letsstartamovement campaigns, Leslie has raised more than $10,000 for Ashlie's Embrace! Leslie has reminded us to #bekindtooneanother and that one person can do incredible things when fueled by love!
